Walk in the Footsteps of Nelson Mandela

Step into the extraordinary life and legacy of Nelson Mandela at Mandela: The Official Exhibition at the African American Museum Dallas.

This immersive exhibition takes visitors on a powerful journey—from Mandela’s childhood and South African heritage, through his fight against apartheid and 27 years of imprisonment, to his historic presidency and enduring message of reconciliation, justice, courage, and hope.

Through four immersive gallery experiences, visitors will encounter personal artifacts, archival photographs, multimedia presentations, interactive experiences, and objects connected to Mandela’s remarkable life. Developed in partnership with the Mandela family, the exhibition offers an intimate look at the man behind the global icon and the choices that helped change the course of history.

For the Stepping Into Destiny Artists Guild, this is an opportunity to experience history, culture, storytelling, and visual presentation through a powerful museum exhibition—and to reflect on how art and creative expression can help preserve stories, inspire change, and connect generations.

Come experience the story. Be inspired by the legacy. And consider what Mandela’s example means for each of us today.
